Worry free PERFECT BROWN RICE

(Adapted from Saveur)

Brown Rice (your choice of variety)
Four cups water per cup of rice
Salt to taste

In an appropriate sized pan (with tight fitting lid) bring water to a boil.

As water is coming to a boil, rinse rice in a strainer under cold running water for 30 seconds; swirling around with your hand.

When water boils, add rice and return water to a boil; stir ONCE. Turn heat to medium and boil uncovered for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.

After 30 minutes, pour rice into a strainer over sink and allow to drain for ten seconds. Return rice to the pot (off heat), immediately cover the pot with tight fitting lid and allow the rice to steam for ten minutes.  (Note: If you lid isn't tight fitting, cover with foil then place the lid on top of that  for a tighter seal.)

After ten minutes uncover rice, fluff with a fork and season with salt to taste and serve.
